Accomplishments

Mr. James has been a Partner with Brown & James, P.C. from 1982 to present. From 1963 to 1981 he was a lawyer with Moser, Marsalek, Carpenter, Cleary, Jaeckel, Keaney & Brown. Mr. James was an Instructor of Business Law, SLU School of Commerce and Finance, 1973-74. He was also an instructor at Webster University in Business Law for the masters program. He conducted doctoral seminar in school law for Ph.D. candidates in education, SLU; Adjuster/Claims Manager, Continental Casualty Co., 1957-62. Since 2000, his entire efforts have been in mediation and arbitration. He has been an Arbitrator for AAA for over 30 years, primarily handing construction arbitration. Mr. James has also mediated medical malpractice and auto accident cases. Prior to 2000, he was primarily engaged in litigation. A significant amount of the practice was in construction law.
