Accomplishments
Mr. Burns has mediated numerous cases as an advocate. Since 1999, he has been a staff attorney for Safeco Corporation Insurance Companies. Mr. Burns’ practice has primarily consisted of defending personal injury and wrongful death cases and litigating insurance coverage issues. These cases have involved claims arising from motor vehicle accidents, products liability, employer liability, boating accidents and construction defects. He has litigated insurance coverage issues involving business and personal motor vehicle policies, commercial general liability policies and insurance agent liability. From 1979 to 1999 Mr. Burns was in private practice with the firm of Burns, Marshall and Burns.
