Accomplishments

Mr. Billeaud has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of civil litigation since beginning law practice in 1972, including product liability, medical malpractice, FELA, Jones Act and other complicated litigation. While practicing law, he tried numerous cases to verdict in federal and state courts throughout the United States. He has resolved numerous cases through the mediation process. Since 1997, Mr. Billeaud has been mediating with USA&M and has successfully acted as a neutral in over 100 cases, primarily dealing with personal injury and insurance claims. Mr. Billeaud served as Staff Judge Advocate in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, retiring in 1996. He also spent seven years as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Mr. Billeaud is licensed to practice law in Missouri, Illinois, Louisiana and West Virginia. Mr. Billeaud retired from active law practice in the St. Louis area and he is presently practicing law on a part-time basis at the law office of Davis Saunders in Metairie, Louisiana.
